Oddly enough, I'd say that's the #1 question I get on this question. My feelings on it are still pretty mixed. Let's see where they fall in 2024: A lot of little kids naturally do puppy play. My niece absolutely loved playing like a dog, particularly when she was around 6 years old. It seems "puppy play" as it's defined here has an element of age regression. He's talking about moshing, getting on all fours and playing like a dog. He seems to be talking exclusively about adults doing it. Adults doing pup play probably naturally has some element of sexual energy to it, even at its most innocent. After all, what does it really mean when one adult pets another or rubs his belly? As such, I think that children doing puppy play is cute and innocent. Adults doing puppy play is also cute, and they can choose how little or how much it's intended to be sexual. As for 13-17 year olds, it seems they need to be excluded from puppy play entirely as a matter of necessity. They're no longer necessarily innocent children, but not yet fully adults with the authority to choose what to do with their bodies. It's such a confusing topic. What about you? What do you think about all this?

*scratches head* You know, I had to think on that one for a moment. I'm 95% sure the answer would be yes. Personally, I love cats, but in my general experience the pup play subculture tends to revolve a lot around homosexual men. It seems to me that kitty play is more focused around females, particularly young heterosexual females. As such, I vaguely recall a few kittens at events like this, and if I recall correctly I think they were pretty young girls. Which vendor did you get your kitten muzzle from? I might have a better answer for your question if I knew what it looked like.

That's true. My local pup night has usually between 5 and 20 pups each month. Of those, I can think of two that are female, and they don't come regularly.

Not admitting when called cute

In my experience, interaction with puppy play takes three forms: 1. Sexual content - One or more person is dressed up and/or acting like a dog. 2. Social meetings - This is my most common one. I have a once a month meet up at my local gay bar Bachelor Forum with my pup group. It's an opportunity to chat, drink, and play pool and darts. The pup hoods make a person stand out as someone with similar interests who is easy to talk to, while also lending a small degree of anonymity and not interfering with talking and listening like thicker masks would (like gas masks and Snap Jaw Forge rubber masks). 3. Pup moshes - A bunch of people dressed like dogs on a play space, being generally non-verbal and playing around similar to how real dogs would. I personally only have the opportunity to this form of puppy play once a year at Anthrocon.
